AI assistance in a service
If a service includes AI assistance, we discuss it with the customer as part of the agreed scope. This covers what it does, which records it may use, who has access and who reviews its work. The arrangements for handling information are part of that service.
AI can help find information, organise notes and prepare summaries. What it produces may be incomplete or inaccurate. It needs to be checked against the underlying records before anyone relies on it.
People remain responsible
AI assistance does not replace a site inspection, a competent person’s judgement, a required licence or professional sign-off. The people carrying out and approving the work remain responsible for the service.
